UCF Mediation Team
Representing Knights in International Competition
What We Do
Studying Mediation & Competing Internationally in Mediation Tournaments on Behalf of UCF
Mediation Class
Undergraduate students can take the Negotiation in Practice class (PLA4243) in the fall. The course focuses on advanced mediation skills as well as drafting mediated settlement agreements and mediator ethics.
Competitions
The Mediation Team competes in INADR Tournaments, which take place throughout the world and offer students the opportunity to serve as mediators, attorneys, and parties. Emphasis at the tournaments is placed on education and fellowship, not competition.
Extra-Curricular
Undergraduate students who do not want to take Negotiation in Practice (PLA4243) are still welcome to participate in the Mediation Team and compete internationally as part of their extra-curricular activities. Students just need to practice with the rest of the Team during the scheduled class sessions.
